SAN RAMONA, Calf., March 3, 2022 /CSRwire/ — Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) announced a $1 million donation to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. With this donation, Chevron joins nearly of 50 American companies on the Museum’s Corporate Leadership Council.

The $15 million commitment advances our long-term support for racial equity that focuses on four strategic pillars: education; Job creation; Black talent and leadership development; and partnerships with communities and small businesses.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to documenting African American life, history, and culture. It was created by an act of Congress in 2003, after decades of efforts to promote and showcase the contributions of African Americans.
