French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin visited the Qatar National Museum on Saturday morning, on the sidelines of his visit to Qatar, QNA reported.
During his visit he was briefed on the most important objects in the museum and listened to an explanation of its treasures.
He also visited its various galleries, which included the early geological development of the Qatar Peninsula, its natural environments, ecological and rock engravings at archaeological sites, the life of the Qatari people on land and on the coasts, and an exhibition .
He was also briefed on collections related to pearl and jewelry design, as well as galleries of modern Qatari history since the discovery of oil and gas.
