In honor of President Joe Biden’s inauguration and Presidents Day, the Covenant Living at the Shores Lodge display case features a collection of Presidential memorabilia provided by various staff. Items include a printed funeral sermon delivered in Boston after the death of George Washington in 1799 as well as a copy of the program of the memorial service for President George HW Bush at the National Cathedral. Other items include campaign buttons for Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon, bumper stickers for Hubert Humphrey and Ronald Reagan, a Ross Perot poster, and a John F. Kennedy doll in a rocking chair (which plays ” Happy Days are Here Again ”). There is also a campaign flyer announcing a rally in California with Robert Kennedy a few weeks before his death.
