National Museum of Bangladesh.
The National Museum of Bangladesh will celebrate its 109th anniversary on Sunday.
The museum will organize a seminar, an exhibition of photographs and books at its premises in Shahbagh in the capital.
The seminar titled “Dhaka at the National Museum: A History of Transformation” will be held at the Sufia Kamal Auditorium at 11:00 am.
After the seminar, an exhibition of photographs and books entitled “Bangabandhu Muktir Agranayak” will be inaugurated at the Nalini Kanta Bhattasali gallery at noon.
The Minister of State for Cultural Affairs, KM Khalid, will be present as a guest of honor at the seminar and will open the exhibition.
The National Museum of Bangladesh, officially opened on November 17, 1983, began its journey as the Dhaka Museum on August 7, 1913.
The museum is devoted to archaeology, classical, decorative and contemporary art, history, natural history, ethnography and world civilization.
